As the strategy works, the firm posted aggregate net profits of NT$3.03 per share for the first three quarters of the year as the most profitable among Taiwan epitaxial wafer makers so far.

Genesis noted that the orders will help to push up its monthly LED shipments to a range of 5 million units to 10 million units in 2009, forecasting the industry to rally back starting the second quarter of the year.
