the top job creators in the U.S. in the past years

It was only natural that during an Oct. 5 discussion meeting in Southern California with a small group of prominent Pakistani-American professionals, a presentation on LED lighting by the event’s host sparked Congressman Skelton’s interest.

“Although the purpose of the meeting was to address issues of U.S.-Pakistan relations, I could tell the congressman was taken with the energy-saving potential of LED lighting following my introductory presentation,” said Pervaiz Lodhie, President and CEO of led high bay light, Inc., a Torrance-based company that for 27 years has been innovating light-emitting diode lighting technology and has grown into one of the world’s leading suppliers of energy-efficient, long-lasting LED lamps, clusters and arrays.

Congressman Skelton was particularly impressed with the potential of solid-state lighting to become a major contributor not only to U.S. energy independence but also to reducing greenhouse gases and the creation of green jobs,” said Lodhie, noting that LED lighting and solar energy industries have become the top job creators in the U.S. in the past years.

Rep. Skelton and wife Patricia were surprised to recognize familiar landmarks among the many architectural applications of LEDs in the LEDtronics slide presentation. Two of the wide-encompassing LED high bay lighting projects around the world are found in the nation’s capital: the South Capitol Street Bridge, which boasts blue light fixtures from the company, and the Bolling Air Force Base, some of whose streets are illuminated by several types of LEDtronics luminaires and lamps.

would be good as market demand had started to increase amid various promotions

Founded in September 2005 , GLO is a technology spin-out from the Nanometer Structure Consortium ("nmC") at Lund University and is focused on commercialisation in the field of led high bay light diodes for general illumination of the heterostructured nanowire technology research of Dr. Lars Samuelson, Professor of Solid State Physics and Head of nmC, and the world-class team at Lund University.

Amtran noted that32- to 42-inch products accounted for about 80% of the total shipments in September, and 47- and 55-inch models remained at about 13% amid the launch of new models, while LED-backlit TVs increased to about 20% from 12% in the first half of the year.

Although LCD TV sales in the North America market in 2010 had been weaker than expected, shipments in the first half of 2010 had dropped 3% on year, and further affected the performance of vendors. Amtran believed that sales during the year-end holidays would be good as market demand had started to increase amid various promotions.

As the same, following weaker-than-expected demand from China's street lighting and global TV sectors, Bright LED Electronics September revenues were registered NT$436 million, dropping by 10% sequentially. The company has been seeing stronger orders for LED high bay lighting with shipments likely increasing to 3,000 units in October from 2,000 units in September.

Similarly, Lextar Electronics’ September revenues had slid 11.93% to NT$803 million, but went up 181% on year. 3Q revenues rose 10.88% on quarter and 212% on year to NT$2.64 billion.

lighting box within a variety of LEDs as one pixel

Located in Yuang Kung St., in addition to the famous ice cream shop ‘ice MONSTER’, a new competitor ‘Smoothie House’ joined the market. ‘Smoothie House’ chose ARC SSL technology’s LED lighting solution to enhance its signage. ARC SSL created an eye-catching lighting scenario as 32 pieces of acrylic lighting box are installed for the signage, providing a perfect lighting control system to display in the night. Together with light-show editing software, each acrylic lighting box shines as the transparent ice brick with bright and dynamic color-changing effects.
In order to meet customer’s demands, the system is required for a total of 32 pixels, each lighting box within a variety of LEDs as one pixel. ARC3004-W (12-Channel PWM controller) will support up to 4 pixels and 8 units of ARC3004-W in total. Program the simple light show through the software to create the gradient effect, which is underlined by the programming of the software in this display installation. With the high performance of the product, ARC’s LED signage replaces neon signage as a more eco-friendly lighting solution.
