Osram had not seen Samsung’s complaint yet and did not know its specific content which has been issued in Korea. IL based developer of energy efficient LED lamps and light systems

IL based developer of energy efficient LED lamps and light systems, announced that on March 11, 2011, it signed a Technical Cooperation Agreement (TCA) with the Federal District Government of Brasilia, Brazil.  This is the first TCA entered into by Governor Agnelo Queiroz’s new administration.  The Federal District desires to implement an energy efficient street lighting system prior to the 2014 FIFA World Cup.  In support of the Agreement, PolyBrite is expected to create jobs in both Illinois and Brasilia.

Carl Scianna, President and CEO of PolyBrite International, Inc. said, “This is just the beginning of an important relationship between PolyBrite and the Government of Brasilia.  We see Brasilia as the launching pad for PolyBrite’s energy efficient products to be distributed throughout the South American markets.”

PolyBrite plans to install a high-tech LED lighting system assembly facility in the Federal District of Brasilia.  The facility will assemble PolyBrite’s energy efficient LED products for use throughout the Federal District of led high bay light, Brazil and the rest of South America.  PolyBrite’s LED products provide both a superior quality of light, a reduction in energy consumption and overall cost.

Panasonic Electric Works is another company that's developing OLED lighting panels based on UDC's materials, and now we hear that they too plan to commercialize their panels in 2011. We don't have any technical details on those panels yet.Other companies on show include Odelic (which are designing lamps based on Lumiotec's OLED panels), Kaneka, Novaled, Mitsubishi Electric and Rohm. Rohm has been showing flexible OLED panels and wants to realize 'bendable lamps'.

The Centre de Recherche Public (CRP) - Gabriel Lippmann, the leading research institute in Nanotechnologies in Luxembourg, and led high bay light announced  the start of a cooperation agreement. The main goal of the new project is the mutual development of advanced polymer materials focusing on establishing a wide range of processes that contribute to the fabrication of advanced organic/inorganic materials.

City of Tucson has selected Cooper Lighting's Streetworks™ OVH LED Cobrahead luminaires to replace approximately 600 low pressure sodium fixtures to reduce costs as part of an American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA)-funded project.

Due to the existing inefficient lighting fixtures was costing the city in both maintenance and energy costs, officials applied for and received approximately $425,000 for a total upgrade to led high bay light.As soon as LED retrofit, the city began to see the savings.It has saved approximately $3,000 monthly in electricity costs and officials expect to see at least $30,000 in savings over the course of the year.

AIXTRON SE today announced an order for MOCVD reactors from new customer Beiji Haotian Technology Co., Ltd. The order for a total of five systems comprises two AIX 2800G4 HT deposition systems in the 42x2-inch configuration and three AIX G5 HT deposition systems in the LED Linear high bay light configuration. The Jiangsu, China-based company placed the order during the second quarter of 2010 and following delivery between the first and second quarter of 2011, the systems will be used for production of power chip LEDs.The local AIXTRON support team will commission the systems in a dedicated facility at a production plant in YiXing city, Jiangsu province, China.
